ISD Donates Protective Equipment to Healthcare Staff

Posted by Devin Felix on 27 March, 2020

The District recently heard from Swedish Hospital in Issaquah and Providence Marianwood asking for donations of any available protective equipment, including masks, gowns, gloves, and goggles. These items are crucial to protect healthcare workers who care for patients suffering from COVID-19, and supplies are running low.

ISD staff members gathered supplies from schools across the district that would have been used for student health and science classes, as well as supplies from school health rooms. On March 25, staff members from Swedish and Providence picked up the donations and took them to their care facilities to be put to use by the people on the front lines of dealing with the pandemic.

Thank you to all healthcare workers!
