Issaquah High’s Kyle Hoffman Awarded 2nd Place at Washington State High School Photography Contest

Posted by Elizabeth Egan on 15 June, 2018

Congratulations to Issaquah High School junior Kyle Hoffman on receiving a second place award at the Washington State High School Photography Competition! While at the award reception, which took place on June 7, Kyle was presented with his award, and surprised by Seahawks and Sounders photographer Corkey Trewin, who chose Kyle’s photo for the Seattle Sounders Award. As part of the award Kyle was invited to shoot a Sounders game on the sideline with Trewin.

Kyle’s winning photograph is currently part of the Washington State High School Photography Competition exhibit, which will be at Wallingford Framing this summer, then travel to the Seattle Museum in December, and lastly be on display at Kenmore Camera. Some of Kyle’s work is also printed on metal and currently at ArtEast.

The Washington State High School Photography Competition was formed by a group of high school photography instructors in the 1980’s as a way of elevating student photography. For more information on the competition, please visit their website at http://www.wshspc.com/about
