Liberty High School Cinematographer Honored With YoungArts Award

Posted by User Not Found on 1 May, 2015

Congratulations to Liberty High School student Ashton Herrild, who recently won the National YoungArts Awards Foundation (YoungArts) award for the Cinemagraphic Arts category. Ashton is an avid filmmaker and was surprised and delighted by this award.

YoungArts was established in 1981 by Lin and Ted Arison to identify and support the next generation of artists in the visual, literary, design, and performing arts and raise appreciation for the arts in American society. Each year, applicants in grades 10-12 are encouraged to apply for prestigious scholarships and awards. This year approximately 1800 students applied and 800 winners from various categories were selected.
