Posted by Elizabeth Egan on 22 February, 2018

Congratulations to Liberty High School for their success at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of American (FCCLA) Region 4 championship earlier this month!

Erin Abbey (10) and Nicole Winters (11) placed Gold in Illustrated Talk Senior Division - a team event that recognizes participants who make an oral presentation about issues concerning Family and Consumer Sciences and/or related occupations. Hannah Diaz (12) and Jaine Nguyen (12) also placed Gold in Sports Nutrition – another team event in which participants use Family and Consumer Sciences skills to plan and develop an individualized nutritional plan to meet the needs of a competitive student athlete in a specific sport.

In addition, Brielle Ament (11) placed Bronze in Advocacy Senior Division.

As part of the Gold achievement Abbey, Winters, Diaz, and Nguyen will move onto the State Competition, which takes place in March.

Congratulations to all of Liberty’s representatives at the FCCLA Region 4 championship!
