Liberty High Schools Makena Carr named State Soccer MVP

Congratulations to Makena Carr, senior at Liberty High School, on being named Most Valuable Player to the Washington State All-state team! All-state teams are decided by the Washington State Soccer Coaches Association. Carr, who will play for the University of Washington next year, had a very strong season with 12 assists and 32 goals – 2 of which were in the state championship final against Columbia River. At the close of the season Carr was name Star Times Player of the Year by the Seattle Times as well.

Joining Carr on the All State First Team are Cameron Nelson (junior), Taylor Thatcher (senior), and Coach Tami Nguyen. Sophomore Taylor Elfstrom was honorable mention.
