Maple Hills Fourth Graders Travel the World in Musical Performance

Posted by User Not Found on 7 May, 2015

Ukulele-strumming music teacher, Kari Wilkinson, led Maple Hills Elementary School fourth grade students on a trip around the world as they serenaded fellow classmates during their recent musical. The show opened up with a lively vocal performance by all fourth grade students singing “hello” in many different languages. The entire fourth grade performed together and individual classes performed specialized musical numbers. Other songs and musical acts featured a mix of cultures from African tribal drums, Australian stick dancing, Chinese Yang River recorder song, Japanese fan dance, Korean folk song on recorders, and a Hawaiian ukulele song.
