Skyline Students Win Big at the 2015 Washington State Chinese Language and Talent Competition

Students from Skyline High School recently competed against 464 contestants from 155 schools at the Washington State Chinese Language and Talent Competition. This OSPI co-sponsored event is the biggest Chinese competition in Washington State. Skyline High School Chinese Teacher Zoe Jiang was thrilled by the success of her students. David Liew, Athena Dai, Christopher Tang, and Xiao Xu took first place in the group Language Arts category and Dana McCaw, Tasha Mok, and Anish Rao took second place. Jaron Jin placed first in the individual Language Arts category. Dana McCaw took first place in the public speaking category and fellow classmate Cindy Kohlleppel took second place. The group of Daniel Qiang, Aaron Wang, Ben Yu, and Kaichen Liu took third place in the Chinese Knowledge Bowl category. Daniel Qiang took first place in the Chinese Poetry Recitation category and Athena Dai took second place in the drawing category.
