Wolverine Café, Spartanbucks, and Café ACT Provide Barista Training for PLMS, SHS, and ACT Students

Posted by Elizabeth Egan on 17 October, 2017
Students from Pine Lake Middle School, Skyline High School, and the Academy for Community Transition Program (ACT), participate in barista training programs where they prepare and deliver made-to-order beverages for staff within their communities. With special thanks to the Issaquah Schools Foundation, each program is fully equipped with automated espresso machines, uniforms, and the resources that are required to sustain operations. Additionally, four local Starbucks have generously provided ongoing support through donating espresso beans and flavor syrups, which allows the programs to focus on developing vocational skills and fostering relationships for the students. The baristas from the Wolverine Café, Spartanbucks, and Café ACT, are excited for the 17-18 school year, and look forward to continue serving their communities with great taste with a smile!
